Join us to celebrate the end of the 2025 season and celebrate the umpires appointed to the AFL Barwon Junior Grand Finals on Wednesday 3 September 2025 at General Public Corio! Tickets are free for GFUL Junior Members, heavily subsidised for other member types, $45.00 for participating non-members and $10.00 for accompanying parents or friends. Arrival is from 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start, with light catering to be provided at the conclusion of the bowling and arcade session at approximately 7:00pm as the coaches read out the grand final appointments. Join us to test your knowledge at the annual GFUL Trivia Night organised by the goal umpires! With a wide variety of topics, there's sure to be something for everyone… so bring your friends and family along to see who will be crowned Geelong's Brainiest Umpire! The Trivia Night will be held on Saturday 31 May at the GFUL Rooms with doors open from 6:30pm and the function kicking off from 7pm. Drinks are available at bar prices but please BYO nibbles for your table to share. There will be several raffles on the night, with tickets available to purchase on the night and also after training in the lead-up to the event. At a bargain price of three for $5 – how can you say no? Donations would be gratefully received, please see Julie Ford, Cam Ritchie or Ian Hitchcock if you have anything to contribute. This year there'll be a new inclusion to the evening, with guests invited to purchase a song to be added to the playlist for $5 - the owner of the last song played will win $50! All female and gender diverse members of the GFUL are invited to join us for a Girls Night In on Friday 9 May from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the GFUL Rooms. This evening will be a chance for women and girls from all three disciplines to socialise and get to know each other better away from the training track. You are welcome to bring a guest with you - be it a friend, a sister or a mum, everyone is welcome! There will be some craft activities provided, but you are encouraged to bring along a project you might be working on, or something new to start while we chat, enjoy some finger food and maybe put on a movie.
